"Good day ma'am. Welcome to Relelhart & Co!" Raphael tries his best to be cheerful.
He fans the aura that is coming from the minerals.
"The minerals are the finest in Cynderfall... the only ones I know of as well!" Raphael does some math in his head and continues. "And for a low price of three silver each, or four minerals for 10 silver..."
Raphael glances over at his wolf Therian patron, and cannot help but observe his embarrassment.
He glances over at the new Therian. Perhaps a cat therian? He thinks.

Quil looked to Raphael, "How did that happen?" She asked quietly, frowning. How had she missed something so.....large? She nodded and absently opened the mineral stick as Lucky inspected it and tried to bite it. It didn't quite crunch between her teeth and she winced, a soft growl emitting from her chest. She licked it instead, savoring the pleasantly sweet flavor. Her eyes widened and it was clearly a happy Tiger. "It's wonderful, try it Lucky." she said, almost with child like glee and all but stuffing it into Lucky's face.

Lucky only draws back slightly as the tiger shoves the minerals in her face. It seems like she's has similar experiences in the past. She gives it a delicate lick, then gives it a thoughtful look. "Mm... it's a bit sweet for my tastes. Still, though, it's pretty good." She nudges it back toward Quil with one finger with a smile. "All you, my friend."
The woman looks over at the shopkeep and gives him a nod. "Good day. I hope my friends haven't been giving you too much trouble." She looks over at the wolf therian and gives him a wink, then looks back to the human with a hopeful glint in her eyes. "Raphael, was it? Do you have any licorice for sale?"

The wolf therian quickly and discreetly waggles his finger behind his back in the universal gesture for "no".
"Nope, I already checked. he has NO lico....licer...lico rice." His voice is surprisingly confident here.
"Perhaps another store?"
Eager to change the subject, he begins to turn, then thinking better of it very obviously moves closer to the clipboard without showing either of the ladies his back.
"Tell us more of this adventurers guild!"

Quil on the other hand narrowed her eyes at the wolf therian, "Oh no no no, you dont get to change the subject. What are you hiding?" She drilled, getting a little side tracked and off topic as she ingested more sugar, paying for another one as she was currently licking the stick clean of its sweet essence. Her pupils dilated slightly as her energy became a little more apparent.

Lucky leans leisurely against the wall and stifles a yawn. "You don't know about the Adventurer's Guild, Cairn? It's the best way to dodge taxes. Every now and then you have to do something adventure-ish that helps out the barony, and in return you don't have to pay the baron. Right, Raphael?"

Raphael nods at Cairn.
"It's a good deal - I once saw a knight come and threaten to take all of the Tavern keeper's possessions because he was not a member." He continues... "It's also good for legal disputes. Being a member of the Adventurer's Guild insures that if you break a law, things are more lenient because you are not necessarily from around there."
Raphael contemplates for a second.
"My favorite aspect of the Guild is the companionship - getting out and getting things done with people you might consider friends."
A smirk grows on his face.
"For a nominal 5 silver a month, you could join the growing Adventurer's Guild!"

Kairn looks confused t the mention of legal disputes.
"I don't understand. I am a good citizen. Why would I have to have concern for the law and its disputes? I would not break a law..."
He shakes his head. "I don't like the idea of a knight coming to my room and taking my things though...Why would they do this..."
He looks genuinely confused. "This does not sound good, perhaps we should leave this place..."
He looks worriedly at Lucky and Quil.

Quil looked to Kairn temporarily leaving her playful argument, "Thats what he is saying, join the guild Baron cant take your stuff. This is his territory so anything we take or earn is his....by law anyway, being part of the Guild means we are a special exception to those laws." She explained as she understood it, "It makes sense and its complete F***ery." She said, her ears folding back, revealing the white flashes on her ears.

Raphael shrugs. These were the rules. He didn't make them.
"You understand it correctly. I've asked the Guildmaster in Riverwood to give us some more freedoms with the Guild here. I'd like to see the Adventurer's Guild as more than something of a mercenary sort. We've been called upon for one task, and that was to bring a gang to justice. Ask Q'tar, the jovial ku'rasi who runs the Tavern, and he'd describe it as a mercenary's guild. He pays his membership though - we all do."
His voice seems sincere - Raphael is not one to complain. He's quick to move on and make differences where he can.
"Our town has much to see and offer. I've recently founded this shop, and the local Temple for followers of the Four Pointed Star."

Quil looks at him, "He did not seem so jovial when there was the dead body on his floor....but then again, I wouldn't either. As for joining the guild it is definitely something to consider. I know I'd have issue with someone just sweeping through and taking something I've worked hard to earn or build or some such. If you wish to become more than something of a mercenary guild, perhaps trying to do things for non profit every once in a while. Do a good deed for the sake of doing a good deed." She said. "Are you all primarily followers of the four pointed star or do you have followers of the seven among you as well?" She asked curiously, casually making her way to Kairn's side while maintaining eye contact with Raphael.

"Well, we did have a follower of Tiberius... I liked him well enough, but he desecrated some corpses, angered the trees, and ran off. We haven't seen him since. I've seen a few followers of the Seven pass through, but nobody has made a stand to be the ambassador here, so to say. "
Raphael chuckles as he recounts the events that had happened. How things had changed since the start. Everything had spiraled out of control.
"As for good deeds with the Adventurer's Guild - most of what we do on our own is unsolicited or unpaid - we do it for the good of society and the settlement."
Raphael looks out to the right, recalling the past.
"Helping a farmer work his farm, bringing a husband back to his wife, trying to rescue a kid from a gang, helping tree spirits find a new home..."

Raphael looks over at Tannim.
"Which gods do you follow Tannim? Do you follow the Four Pointed Star, or the Seven? Perhaps Tiberius..."
Raphael smirks at Tannim as he suggest Tiberius. Anyone watching would assume it was an inside joke.
"By the way, welcome back to town - I would love to hear about your travels."
