The therian looks mildly confused for a moment, then apparently decides to just go with it and hands Raphael 10 more silver coins.
He eyes you warily for a moment then places the necklace in his pouch.
He looks around for a moment and then spots the Raphael Action figure.
"What is this?"

Raphael is suddenly very excited at the opportunity to share the joys of the Raphael Action Figure.
"That, my friend, is what every child wants - a Raphael Relelhart Action Figure!"
Raphael picks up the figure and pretends to blow up some stuff with magic lightning.
"It teaches children that anything is possible."

He just looks at you for a moment.
Just stares at you trying, genuinly trying to figure out what you could possibly be talking about.
"I do not understand...Why would a child want this...Everything is not possible and how does a toy made in your resemblance perform this?"

Raphael chuckles.
With a wave of his hand, and a short incant, Raphael conjures a floating ball of light before him.
"My Therian friend, it's hard to explain. Children can't wait to be a grown up and do the things we can do."
Raphael struggles at explaining this in simpler terms.
"As for why it is me, I guess my question would be, why not?"
Raphael grins broadly.

The therian nods slowly in understanding and reaches in a pouch and produces a small clay figurine. It is simple, without features and held together with string and wire.
He smiles at it and shows it to Raphael.
"This is little Kairn. I understand."
He hands the toy back to Raphael and closed his hands around it.
"Be who you are meant to be."
He smiles with a creepy wisdom.
He closes his eyes and when they open they have a twinge of blue glow.
He mutters a word and a flash of light pops in front of him.

Raphael is fascinated by the Therian's sudden expulsion of magic, but outwardly shows nothing.
He examines the small clay figurine. "That's a true action figure there!"
He contemplates the meaning of the man's strange words - Be who you are meant to be. Did it have anything to do with what he had recently learned of his ancestors? Or was it a challenge to continue along the path of becoming a Paladin? It was some form of encouragement, to be sure.
"I'm sorry sir, I didn't get your name? What do you do her in Cynderfall?"

After coming from speaking to the town guard, Quil decided to explore the town just a little bit. She walked into the establishment, a inkling suspicion who she'd find inside tickling at the back of her mind. She opened the door gently and peered inside. Upon seeing the Therian, she rolled her eyes. She entered the building fully and closed the door behind her, "Are you serious right now? How many times do I have to tell you; stop buying gifts!" She almost seemed a little frazzled...almost, but it seemed to come from more of a playful frustration. There was clearly some sort of bond between the two animal like people, though what kind of bond thus far was unclear. She gave the wolf Therian a look, crossing her arms as her tail swished behind her, but then decided to look around. The mineral sticks caught her eye and she walked over to investigate them, finding them interesting.

Raphael glances across the room when the door opens. A somewhat familiar face, he thought. He had seen this Therian at the Tavern the other day.
"Good day, welcome to Relelhart & Co! Do you know this fine fellow?"
Raphael looks inquisitively at the newcomer. This one seemed to give off an aura of having more intelligence about her.

As the door opens the therian starts and jumps. He spins around quickly hiding his newly acquired jar behind his back. He looks thoroughly abashed. In the quick movement he forgets himself and the large stone sword crashes to the ground with a thunderous boom.
"Um...Hi, hi Quil! I...I don't know what you are talking about."
His tail lashes back and forth behind him.

((oog Quil is a Wilden))
Quil looked to whom she assumed was the owner, since he was the only other one there. "Yes, yes I do." She said. "We have been travelling companions for a little while now." She said not taking her eyes away from the fascinating minerals.

"A free sample, that will hopefully buy my friend here some reprieve." He reaches into the mineral canister and hands the Wilden a purple mineral.
Purple doesn't sell as well as the other flavors anyway. He thought.
He examines the Wilden and Therian - a strange group of traveling companions. No different than his won group of adventurers.
At least as long as we last. Differences are starting to divide us.
"Minerals are a mere 3 silver each." He winks at the Wilden - or was something in his eye?
"And while you're here, I should tell you about the local Adventurer's Guild. You can register here, and gain leniency with local laws, as well as keep all of your earnings. The cost is 5 silver a month, and I would just need to know your full name and what your objective is here."
Raphael slides over a ledger that offers a category for 'Name' and another catagory entitled 'Doings'.

Quil looked to the man a little surprised, "I couldn't possibly do that, how would you make your living?" She asked. The thought was appreciated, but it was odd. Shouldn't people in a settlement town be trying to earn coin? She looked to the ledger, "I will consider it, not sure if here is where ill be residing long. There seems to be a lot of....strange dealings? Not to mention seem to be particularly somber around here." She said, curious to the over all change in town demeanor.

"Strange dealings are definitely all over the place here. But from my travels, they seem to be everywhere."
Raphael contemplates and continues speaking.
"We recently lost a local Squire, so things are a little somber. Not long ago, we had a festival though. We'd love to have you call Cynderfall home - fresh blood would definitely be welcome."
He offers the mineral again. "I'd like you to have this and try it - think of it as a business investment - if you try it, you'll probably buy some. If you don't try it, you'll never know what you're missing out on."
Raphael grins.

The door opens again, and a therian woman in a brown leather duster strolls leisurely into the shop. She wears a broad rimmed hat, and her coat seems worn from dust and travel. A faint purple aura glows around her hands, and a long black cat tail swishes behind her as she walks. Black whiskers seem to be growing out of her cheeks.
She spots the wilden and the therian in the room. "I was wondering where you two went off to. Leaving a girl all alone, and in such a dangerous area, too..." She puts a hand to her heart in mock despair, but her tail twitching with amusement behind her. She takes a moment to look at the wares that Relelhart & Co. has to offer. Her eyes catch the rock candy that Quil is holding, and she goes over to give it a curious glance. "That's pretty. Strange, though, it smells sweet."

If the wolf therian had not already started just moments before and already dropped his sword he would have done so now.
His tails lashes nervously behind him as he curls his hands and the jar that they hold further behind his back.
"Um...hi Lucky! Didn't expect to see you here so..soon. I uh..I was just doing some shopping. Yeah...shopping."
He has the body language of a teenager who was just caught with a dirty magazine.
