It's the evening, post-dinner, and the sun is setting over Cynderfall. Sending beautiful rays of light through the dark clouds in the sky. The stars are still visible, but there is a storm rolling in from the distance.
Ashe leaves the tavern early, brushing off anyone who tried speaking to her. She left before any of the late-night activities or gambling go on, which is unusual for her.
Ashe walks into the shadows of the trees on the edges of town, keeping an eye out for any people or creatures, friend or foe.
Thunder and lightning of the coming storm are seen and heard behind her, reminding her of her dear friend.. "I just got back, and he has left again.. Gone for a month already... Was my allegiance not enough to hold him here?.... Did he leave because of my actions?" Ashe thinks to herself while considering the fact that Q'tar has left Cynderfall, indefinitely if the rumors she has heard are true. "Someone even told me he intends to... head... home... and for the Kurasi that means..." Ashe shook her head at the thought, before tears would come to her eyes. "He didn't even say goodbye.." Ashe continued thinking.
"Toughen up, damn it." She says to herself as she swiftly turns and faces the woods. "I spent months out here. Just looking for him." Ashe looks over her shoulder at the city of Cynderfall, the sun has set and it is dark, except for the lights within the town. Ashe is able to see the Lightning Lounge in the distance, the only building in the city with no lights shining through the windows.
"Cynderfall just doesn't feel like Cynderfall anymore.. Not without the Lightning Lounge and Q'tar's smile greeting any who enter.. not without adventurers within to share stories of the road, meet after battle, and just listen to music while throwing some dice, strong drink in hand.. the sound of Q'tar saying "That's mine!" at the sound of a coin hitting the ground." Ashe thinks to herself, as she looks at the sky, watching the clouds form the storm brewing in the distance. "I suppose we all must leave this S*** hole of a town eventually..."
Ashe looks back to the woods, and for a brief moment, considers leaving Cynderfall as well, in search of her dear Kurasi friend, yet again. Just then, there is a bright flash of lightning and loud sound of thunder in the distance. "I won't forget you old friend. And I hope to see you again someday," She says aloud as if Q'tar could hear her, as she stared at the coming storm.
"With what is going on in town, I can not leave.. I must make things right..." Ashe decides inaudibly.
"Velia guide me," She says towards the sky before putting her hood back on and beginning to walk back towards the tavern.
