The sign by the front door reads "Insights into the nature of Life", with a necromancers guild insignia below it. Inside, multiple windows give the occupants plenty of light as well as illuminate a Thaumaturgy circle, small alchemy lab, and a few orderly desks. Two desks are completely empty and Jasper, local guild master, sits at the third.

The door to the proclaimed necromancer's guild building opens, allowing the lightning ku'rasi to enter. It had not taken long for Sharara to hear about an individual showing up in town claiming to be with the necromancer's guild; something worth looking into.
"Excuse me." She closes the door behind her. "I heard there was a newcomer in town claiming membership with the necromancer guild. I presume that is you, yes?"

Jasper continues scrawling at a fever pace, eventually looking up from his desk.
Head resting on fists, he surveys his visitor for a moment before placing the papers in a drawer.
"Good day, I am Jasper. You would world be correct in calling me representative of The Guild. You have some kind of pressing business to attend to involving me?"
He incessantly feels and manipulates a small metal badge.

"Of sorts." Sharara approaches the desk Jasper sits at. "I mean no offense, but do you have proof of your membership and orders to set up this office? Understand that I do have reasons for asking that concern the safety of Cinderfall." She waits patiently for a response, and to see legitimate proof that matches what she carries as a member of the guild or that she has seen on Lael and other members in Riverwood.

After listening to what Rafael said Tannim left the Lightening Lounge and noticing the new business in Cynderfalls he sides into the building noticing that the office is well light Tannim lurks next to the door listening to the conversation.

Jasper stops spinning the emblem long enough to show Sharara that it is a solid silver badge of the guild.
"It seems everyone in this droll place are pestering me for my rights, when only we would have any authority to act on a non member. Or am I wrong to name you Sharara, guild initiate? Why don't you sit, have some wine, and tell me why you've visited today. Again, I'm rather busy for shenanigans or interruptions. I've only just set the labs up."

Briefly, Sharara glances back when she hears the door as Tanim slides in. It is then, as Jasper reveals the medallion, that she moves forward to join Jasper. "Drull? Clearly, you must've recently arrived."
"I appreciate your obliging my request none-the-less. With Squire Seth's recent fall in battle, it's that much more important I do what I can to look after Cinderfall." Sharara watches Jasper carefully. "I've only recently arrived back in town and I received word of your arrival. With the current issues in the Ashwood regarding rogue necromancers affiliating themselves with The Risen, I felt it prudent to investigate as the only registered member of the guild in Cinderfall, until now. Is your stay going to be long term, then?"

Jasper looks at her, to the door and tannim. He shrugs.
"I'll be here until our esteemed leader deems me needed elsewhere. Which likely won't be until after our present problems are resolved, the lich and these risen foremost amongst them. My own research can wait, apparently."

"Ahh... That is why you've set up shop here for the time being?" She muses over that, assuming that her initiate status may be viewed as possibly not experienced enough to have a handle on the situation. Whehter or not that was the case, it didn't bother her. If Jasper was here as an extra resource, then she would find a way to use it. "What do you know about the situation so far? And any reason to believe that the new posting in the tavern is connected?"

Jasper and Sharara concluded their conversation, neither quite satisfied but both knowing the nature of their profession was one based in zealous secrecy.
Following the events of Xerxes final assault on the town, Jasper stayed in town though he was seldom heard from or seen. The town guard surely was glad to have him as a silent backer, as he dealt with the few cases of spontaneous undead quickly and quietly.
Months go by in this fashion... Until he notices outside the guildhall a pair of warriors clad in simple blacks, with a griffon emblem blazoned on them. They were paying no heed to him as they practiced with their shield, but he could feel a subdued hostility...

Norton catches Jasper watching Micha and himself practicing. After a moment Norton drops his practice gear and approaches the necromancer. With forced politeness he says. Good day sir, you cast an unplesant look at my friend and I. Can I help you with something?

Jasper sighs in the general direction of Norton, before smiling cautiously.
"We've not yet been aquainted, I believe. I am called Jasper, local authority on the undead. Couldn't help but note you and your companion training. Is that a Griffon on your shoulder?"

Jasper plucks a pomegranate from the desk below the window sill, offering half to the warrior in a show of kindness.
"I seem to have heard of a legion of sworn to destruction of the undead that used the same insignia... I had thought they were defunct. Are you part of the same dead order?"
The smile has not left Jasper's face, but it now is half mocking, half taunting the warrior.

Norton ignores the fruit... We are agents of that order and it is hardly dead as far as i am aware. And as a representative of the necromancer's guild you should welcome us as allies instead of mocking us... Assuming that is that you are actually using your abilities to thwart the undead to help the people and not up to something nefarious.
