Raphael approaches the Tavern that has become the new base of operations for the adventurer's, with Q'tar and the Lightning Lounge in hiatus.
He pushes open the door, and finds himself a seat in the back of the room where he might observe the seeings and doings of the other bar patrons. His attire seems to still smell of burned flesh, if you get close enough. Still, his spirits seem to be of good cheer.
The eve hours were his as of now, but most of his days were spent sending ravens and tending to his shop.

Sharara had heard that Q'Tar was back, but it was not the Lightning Lounge she stepped into. Instead, it was the Oblivion tavern that they had worked out of against the Shadow Ghast. After paying for a drink, she moved to the table where her current target already sat.
"I'm a little surprised to find you in here, Raphael."

Raphael looks at Sharara, blinking as he examines her elemental wrinkles.
"Why does it surprise you to find me here? Certainly I have voiced my suspicions of the bartender to all."
He grins, and leans over to whisper in her ear.
"Truth be told, I enjoy her Dew of the Mountains. She stocks it for me. "

"Oh... You've made that very clear." She smirks a little and just shakes her head a bit at his whispered words.
"We don't often get a chance to sit and have a drink without something else going on and ever since I first helped with your trials to be admitted to your church. I wondered what lead you to decide to become a paladin?"

"Honestly, it's not so much becoming a Paladin. I joined the order because it is the religion of my fathers. Also, it is the most relatable and accepting of my family's curse."
Raphael ponders for a moment.
"I also enjoy the skills they've taught me." He gets a sinister grin on his face.

"Hm. I was under the impression it was your goal to be one." Sharara gives that a moment or two of thought.
"Ha, obviously. Which brings up an interesting point. From what I was told about the nature of your curse, the fact you feel enjoyment is curious."

Raphael ponders. "I believe in doing all things well. So if that path takes me into being a Paladin, I would be happy with it."
He glances around the tavern.
"My curse is rather interesting, this is true. I'm sure I must appear rather self-interested. But when an ability is granted that makes things easier in achieving ones mean... yes... I would consider that enjoyable."
Raphael grins at Sharara.

"Self-interested is too simple a term, I think. I suppose, though, to someone with less understanding may call it that." She keeps the conversation low so that it is just between her and Raphael.
"I think once your family's curse is lifted, you'll be able to find what your path is."

"Do you think we are getting closer to ending this curse? I feel like we are not getting closer to the end of things. Instead, we are just finding more questions. Is it possible to truly fix the mistakes of the past for a better future?"
Raphael looks at her, pondering the truth of the situation.

Sharara studies the human in front of her for a few silent moments. "Sometimes they can, sometimes it is how you handle the concequences of your mistakes, or the mistakes of the past, that is important. If an answer exists, we will find it. Until then, though, perhaps you should put some focus less on correcting the mistakes and more on learning the lessons inside them to not repeat them. It might not be easy, but these things rarely are."

Raphael nods at her wisdom.
"Certainly it doesn't seem fair for a son to be judged for the sins of his father." He ponders and continues, "I hope that some of our rituals reveal something though."
"Selling magical items does sound interesting. If you find yourself lacking components, I do have access to a great supply."

"Knowing as little as we do, it does seem that way. Do you believe that the gods of the four pointed star involve themselves in everyday things?"
Sharara smiles a little. "If that's something I decide to do, and have time to do it, I'll let you know."

"I think that the gods are a part of everything we see and do. Order and chaos, life and death. I think it's impossible to show me something that isn't a product of one of them."
He orders a cup of water from the well. "I wonder what some good steps might be as far as preparing for our next gathering. Are you going to set out to do research on anything? Perhaps try to find the remainder of the research papers?"
"Although, if that thing wants what you have, it might be better to copy it and leave the originals to him - safer at least."

"I have plans, yes, and I'll be leaving soon. I have one other thing to do first and then I'll be one my way."

"Whats that?" he wonders aloud.
Sharara was always on the move, that was for sure.
