Raphael enters the shop and turns the sign in the window to "Open". He glances around at all the fine goods he has either made, or procured, and wonders why everything isn't sold out.
Looking at the Raphael action figure, he can't quite seem to place why nobody would want such a thing? And the delicious minerals on a stick? Everyone loves though.
It wasn't like manning the shop was the only thing he had planned. Where had Bartholomew gone? If he was here, Raphael knew he could count on the cat Therian to watch and man the shop. There was no true reliable help to be found in Cynderfall right now. Everyone seemed to be passing through.
Raphael removes one of the minerals from the jar, and tastes it. Delicious.
Something's bound to happen soon.

A wolf therian walks into the shop, tinkling the bells on the door behind him. His tail swings in time with his steps. The man is squat and broad. Average height with a powerful build. He wears a pair of loose fitting grey pants with a tan surcoat lined with fur over them. Underneath he wears a simple hunter green peasent shirt. On each hip sits a tasset made of engraved stone and on each shoulder a pauldron of matching stone moves with his arms. In his hand and resting on his right shoulder is a weapon somewhere between a great club and a great sword. The carved and chipped stone forms the general shape of a sword with a chipped and pointed edge. He looks at you in the eye for a moment and then continues to browse your wares. There is something off about this man, something wild....

Raphael is far from the salesman that Q'tar is. Rather cold-hearted, being able to identify with other people is far from him. But from all his time in society, he has learned to adapt to an emotional world, and portray actions expectant of him.
"Good day sir, I am Raphael. Welcome to Relelhart & Co! Our wares are the finest in..." Raphael pauses momentarily, not wishing to lie. "Cynderfall and the surrounding area! Were you looking for something specific today?"
Raphael studies the wolf therian closely. Indeed, his senses were sending off warnings.
All silver spends equally, but could this be a companion of Dahakas, a wilden?

The therian takes a moment to recognize that you are talking to him but once he realizes he turns back to you.
"I need...I need..." He looks at you for a moment, frowns and pulls a sheet of paper from his rabbit skin pouch.
The paper reads "Licorice"
"I need this. It's black and tastes like a root, but sweeter."
PLOT NOTE! a therian is different from a ravager. Think Hakka.

Hearing this news, Raphael gets an eerie grin on his face. There is no threat here. He did consider it strange that the Therian didn't know he was talking to him... there is no one else in the store.
"The finest licorice I have!", Raphael seems only slightly overly thrilled. "How many licorice would you like? I can sell you 2 pieces for one silver."
Raphael examines his jar. "Or, I can sell you all the licorice you see here for 10 silver, and throw in a stick of delicious minerals?"

"I need all of it."
The therian smiles when he sees the jar full of black candy.
"This is good, she will be happy."
He pays Raphael in silver and takes the jar and the minerals. He holds his hand out again after.
"I need the note back. Also, what do you have for a brawler. She is also the daughter of a smith. She is less...specific to buy for."
He looks slightly embarrassed.

Raphael ponders a second. A brawler, and a daughter of a smith... what would she like?
Suddenly, an idea comes to Raphael. He picks up the horn.
"For someone truly special, I would recommend this horn. But, before you gift it to them, go deep into the woods and blow it many times. Listen and memorize it's distinct tone. When you gift it to them, give it to her and let her know that whenever she should need you to just give it a blow - she will never be alone, because you will just be an earshot away and coming running."
Raphael smirks at his own creativity. The Therian would be a prime candidate for memorizing the tone of the horn, and the girl would love it.

"She would.....not like this gift. She would be offended. This is not a good gift. She is very independent."

Raphael begins to ponder again.
He picks up a necklace with three small vials intwined. He cups it in his hand, eliminating all light, and puts it up to his face. The vials begin to glow.
"This settlement is not a very populated place, and if she is independent, she probably ventures off on her own. These vials will glow, emitting a aura."
Raphael offers for the Therian to give it a try.

The therian looks into his closed palm and smiles at the novel effect.
"This she would like much better!"
He jingles them in his hand.
"What else do you have that jingles. I think that she will like the sound."
He gives him a plain smile. The therian may not be the most educated man...

Raphael rummages through some of the jewelry and produces a metal tooth.
"For one independent, and as strong as she sounds, this tooth of a metal animal might be a good fit."
Raphael offers it over to the Therian for his inspection.

He takes the metal tooth, spins it in his hand and hands it back.
"I think this will do" holding the necklace he had produced earlier.
"How many coins is this? And what is inside?"
The therian has an odd stare. He does not simply make eye contact, it seems as though he is looking deeper. His eyes linger oddly and uncomfortably. When one would normally break eye contact he does not, nor does his body language seem to respond to yours. He simply acts how he will act regardless of your response.

Raphael nods at the Therian's decision.
"For that, I will give you it at a steal - 10 silver.", Raphael bargains. "It is a little bit of my own magic, crafted by myself."
"You see, I am from Riverwood originally. There the lanterns along the street, and even the beacons on the ships give light. Here in the forest... well... it's just total darkness at night for the most part."

The therian looks at you for a moment, slightly horrified.
"I do not wish to steal it! I wish to purchase it...How many coins to purchase it."
He holds it up to his face again seeing the light.
"I do not mind the darkness, but I think she will like it."

Raphael chuckles.
"Pardon my strange term, only 10 silver coins."
He glances at the Therian. Therians always seemed, for the most part, simple beings. The spell that made them was a very complicated thing.
