In a small room near the back of the reclaimed building serving as the unnamed settlement's watering hole a stirring noise is heard. This particular room in the Lightning Lounge is occupied by a rough, slightly malnourished and battered wolf therian. This particular therian was under the treatment and supervision of the Tavern/Inn keep Q'tar, who along with the help of several others managed to cure a poison that was ravaging his system. He has been in a coma since the treatment. Until now. The therian stumbled his way through the halls supporting himself on the wall of the establishment. A few steps outside of the main tavern hall he vomits violently on the floor. "Where the hell am I?" He demands from the now heavily concerned patrons of the hall.
DM note(Some adventurers(Jace, Dragoon and Tannim) may recognize him as one of a group of particularly offended therians in the area and may remember his proclivity towards violence)

Aware of the noise, the Kur'asi innkeeper looks up from his desk and moves towards the indoor well, filling a goblet or cool water. As he moved towards the hallway, he holds out his free hand to calm the patrons. He cautiously holds out the goblet to the Therian. "You were unwell, friend. You were brought to me for healing. I removed the poison and allowed you some rest, " Q'tar said calmly. "Are you hungry? Would you like something to eat? "

At the mention of food, the therian's eyes flash hungrily. He nearly shouts his answer, but retains his cautious composure. "How was I poisoned? I..." he wavers for a second placing one hand on the wall for balance and the other on his head. "I dont remember." He takes a moment to look around the establishment when something or rather someone catches his eye. One of the patrons, a human with a rather large gut and burly, well used arms, swigs his ale unwittingly. "I am at your dumpy little settlement arent I." Concerned realization dawning on his face he reaches towards his belt. Upon realizing that his knife wasn't there he closes his eyes and sears under his breath. He stands up strait, defiance in his eyes and holds out his arms. "Just go ahead and kill me, I am not going to be your slave. I am not some dog to be tamed."

Taken aback by the gruff statement, Q'tar took a step back. "Kill you ... slave? Gods no! " he said, trying hard not to sound insulted. "I have no intention to do either." He took a second and relaxed. "You were brought to me already poisoned by some villagers. I do not know how or why you were poisoned. All I did was remove it. I wish no payment or reward." He turned slightly and moved toward the pot of stew on the fire. "You are free to eat some stew, then you can go on your way. Everything you had on you when you came here is in your room." He filled a wooden bowl with hot stew .....

The therian's bluster falters at Q'tars calm words.
"Wait, what?" He stammers in disbelief.
The therian looks around some more, slowly dropping his hands and his eyes come to rest on another therian in the tavern, perhaps a cat of some kind. No collar, no chains, no tortured look.
"Are you...are you sympathizers? Rebels? You cant all be part of the alliance, otherwise blunt ear over there would be dead." He says following Q'tar closely to the stew and pointing rather rudely at the human. The human raises his middle finger on the hand holding his flask and takes a deep swig.
He takes the stew from Q'tar as soon as it is full and begins greedily devouring it. He looks at Q'tar expectantly.

Q'tar smiles. "I see you have not lost your appetite." he refills the bowl and pours the Therian another glass of water, then motions to a table.
"So, do you have a name, my friend?" the Innkeeper asks.

Still hungrily imbibing his first meal in who knows how long he follows Q'tar to the table. Keeping his eye on the human, he mutters quietly between bites. "Oboro." Then his ears droop a little as he says the rest of his namesake. "Formerly of the colony."

The innkeeper smiles. "Well met. I am called Q'tar.."
He shoots a quick glance at the human, watching his movements and apparent disdain for his hungry guest. Frowning, he turns back. "What is this colony you speak of? Did they treat you unfairly?" he reaches over and fills his goblet with wine. "Do you think that has something to do with the attack on you?"

"Unfairly? The people I grew up with, the people who I protected for 18 years chose that it would be great fun to kick me out!" He complains indignantly.
"All over a stupid prank too, it didn't hurt anyone..." He murmurs as an afterthought.
"The colony is a group of therians that fled from the humans. We realized what was happening to us so we left. I am the son of one of the original founders."
"Also, I wasn't attacked, I just sort of started feeling nauseous and then it went black."
