Kaelan Riverblood, son of the Stag’s Crest Forest started out as just a simple hunter who sold his furs to travelling merchants or wandering travelers. He was raised by his two simple hunter parents who had been created by the elves. Their simplicity was never enough for him; he always wanted something more exciting, something bigger or more lucrative to hunt; the thin scar above his right eye is one he wears proudly for taking down a bear by himself. He improved his skills at skinning and leatherworking to help improve the amount he could get for his wares in his travels. Somewhere along the way he heard of mercenaries being hired to be body guards. Once he’d heard of the coin involved he was more than willing to abandon being a hunter for a bit to try out this mercenary work. He will still take down any prey that comes his way should the opportunity present itself.
Growing up in Stag’s Crest Forest was the ideal life for Kaelan. He had a small tribe of sorts that he lived with. His ‘family’, which is how they referred to themselves, made their homes in the trees as the forest itself had several rivers. Kaelan would often find himself leaping from tree to tree and first found his skills in combat to be useful when he wandered a little too close to Norrin’s Pryde, where he met a Ravager. He was lucky that the Ravager chased him into the woods he was so familiar with, where he was able to gain an advantage. As he was the victor of the fight he took several items from him; including the quiver full of javelins, the feathers he now wears on his armor, and the belts that adorn his waist.
