Q'tar waited patiently as the driver began unloading the caravan into the storeroom of the Lounge. He always liked this particular caravan driver. He is always so careful and meticulous
about the cargo he carries. And, despite the dangers of the road, he is always prompt and pleasant. Q'tar always trusts this one with most of his caravan business.
And he also gets the business of carrying IMPORTANT cargo.
The Tavern Keeper smiled again when the metal box was slid to the rear of the wagon. With a small pry bar, the driver carefully cracked open the crate for inspection. Q'tar moved forward to look for himself.
"From far North, sir." the driver said. "I bought the lot of it, just as you required."
Q'tar looked over the crate. Everything looked well in order. He smiled again and pulled out a sizeable coinpurse from his bag. He handed it over to the driver. "Here is your payment. As always, you never let me down." He said jovially.
As the rest of the goods were offloaded, he turned to the driver. "You are welcome to stay for a bit, if you like. There will be a celebration of life here, but the rumors of filthy Kriegen and Ravagers in our woods does raise a small concern..."
The caravan driver smiles and bows in thanks. "I shall stay long enough to feed and water the horses, then I am off once again. More deliveries to make."
"Of course. Many thanks once again." the Tavern Keeper said happily. He turned and began inspecting his order, especially the large oak barrels.....

Raphael strolls in from shadows, adorned in his notable red and black garb.
He inspects the Tavern Keepers barrels, and offers a quick greeting to the caravan driver. Though he did not use this same driver to deliver goods to his shop, he seems especially cordial.
He turns his attention to Q'tar, and quickly shouts his name piercingly.
He approaches without a handshake or hug, and whispers something in Q'tar's ear.

After a few minutes the quiet conversation goes sour.
"As I have said, choose your words wisely, Paladin. We are through here." Q'tar said gruffly.
The Tavern Keeper steps away from Raphael, slight crackle in his eyes. He then starts taking produce into the tavern, leaving the Paladin in the alley.
