Tannim leans back in his chair enjoying his wine and cheese awaiting Q'tar response and looks quizzically at Hugo. Not quite sure what to make of the Ioden as he has not ment that many in his travels.

Raphael enters the Tavern and nods at Q'tar and Tannim. Seeing the visitor and his pet, he sighs very loudly.
"Good day, sir. I am Raphael Relelhart, of the Order of the Four-Pointed Star. To whom do I owe the... pleasure?" He questions reluctantly.
He walks over to the Ioden, visually inspecting him. He carefully examines the giant mishap in the back of his head and looks to see if brains are visible. He pokes at the blemish. Nothing happens.
Not hearing an instant answer, he continues. "As you are probably well aware, those of the Four Pointed Star are rather split on the concept of necromancy... however, you should be relieved to know that I care less about the ideology behind it. However, I will tell you that having undead right now is rather dangerous. In fact, you may have endangered our whole village by having this one here."
He pauses, and continues. "You see, there is a liche afoot - and they enjoy devouring those like your friend..."

Jasper inclines his head towards Raphael when he enters. At the mention of the the 4, he drops what can only be called a giggle. Once he is finished speaking, Jasper claps a hand to his brow and mimics Raphael's sigh.
"Terribly sorry, my good sir, I did not plan to disturb your peace. I am known as Jasper, and the brains you were investigating belong to my ofttimes companion, Hugo. I assure you, though, the pleasure is all mine."
Jasper stands up, any pretense at a smile or friendliness falling from his countenance. In stark contrast to the light and airy tone he was using, he speaks harshly.
"Now that we're all aquainted... I am here to establish a Guildhall at the behest if the Necromancers guild. For too long we have lacked a presence here, and equel had been the time of disturbing reports we've obtained. I will be conducting investigations, and graciously accept your offers to have myself provide reference in the event of occurrences involving undead and the necromantic arts."

Raphael examines Jasper, finds him lacking, and shakes his head.
"You'll have to seek out Squire Keori for approval for something like that. At the loss of her brother, she is far from entertaining guests at the moment. But, while you are here, I should like to see your license for practicing necromancy. Due diligence, you see..."
He holds his hand out, expectantly. "I believe we have one of your own here, who sits regularly at our table. And yet has mentioned nothing of a Guildhall."
He grins, recalling the events that she had described. "I did hear about how another Guildhall was breached, ransacked, and robbed."

Realizing that the conversation was diverted away from him. The Tavern keeper says nothing, and begins to wipe down his still dusty bar.....

Noticing that the Necromancer seems at a loss for words, Raphael walks over to Q'tar.
"How did your journey fare? Are you any closer to bringing in your golem? We had some fun with a Shadowgast while you were gone. We are even closer now to capturing the Liche and imprisoning him again. Though a golem might prove a great decoy while we set our trap."

Hearing Rafael's comment about plans Tannim let's out a sigh and requests a whiskey from Q'tar stating I am going to need all the energy I can get since the last couple of victories involved me running and dodging. Then with a big grin Tannim exclaims but it is nice to know I can use a cash box as a Shield.

"I personally prefer using a living shield, but that's just me." Raphael winks at Tannim.
"I received word from Father Brassbell to seek out the Necromancer Guild, that it would be worthwhile finding someone who has already defeated a liche. But nothing in my studies has produced someone who has actually defeated a liche."

"My travels went well," Q'tar said vaguely. He slid a small glass of whiskey down to Tannim.
"I may have to depart town again to oversee its construction. I was going to commission Hakka, but he seems to be busy elsewhere." The Tavern keep frowms as he goes back to his cleaning duties...
"Although I must say, Paladin, seems pretty expensive for a distraction."

Raphael nods at Q'tars remark about the golem being an expensive distraction.
"Brother was looking for you. He was hurt, but you'll be glad to know I've mended his broken branches." Raphael chuckles.
"He seemed concerned about bad roots that were close. We handled the problem though. Sadly, he's never around when the fighting starts."

Groaning Tannim turns and says to Raphael "Why do you expect Brother to fight. There is no indication that he is a fighter or Warrior. If you feel that we lack the ability to handle the situation shouldn't you be requesting aid from the Guilds you represent or is this to much for them to handle and the leaders are to cowardly to take up the challenge.

Raphael turns to look at his friend Tannim, at the same time pulling out what appears to be a letter from his pocket.
He reads the paper, "Every month you have asked for aid in one way or another. I do not wish to hear of any requests of aid from you in the future."
He pulls out another paper, and reads: "However, next time you demand something of me it will be the end of your training."
He reveals another paper, brandishing the emblem of the Adventurer's club, and reads, "Our purpose is to improve and protect the kingdom and to work where normal defensive measures will not. We will not support you."
He folds the paper up and puts it away. "As you can see, I am quite adamantly using all of my sources in trying to resolve this issue with the Liche. While these letters show nothing but failure and rejection, I have had some success."
He ponders. "Why do I expect Brother to fight? Because this is his home. His livelihood. His friends. His family. He would fight over the despicable actions of the priestling, but it's too much to ask him to fight when it matters?"
"You are right however in that these guilds and orders are proving to be utterly useless. They demand that we shed blood for them, but would not provide any aid when requested."

Tannim bows his head slightly well it does appear that we are on our own. I guess we should see what allies around here we might be able to get to aid us.That is if they care about the settlement or the area. The preistling might have upset brotherbecause he appeared to not appreciate the lands and the woods. Is there any indication the linch would do the same.

Raphael nods at Tannim.
"We must make our own path through this all. Tell me, have we learned anything more about our current predicament?"
He searches Tannim's face, hoping for some good news.
