Sharara raises a brow at his comments. "It is obvious you don't spend your time in Cynderfall anymore. Maybe you should spend a little more time looking around." The last several months involving the bringing in of weapons and armor, training and the construction of defensive structures such as pallasades.
Sharara shrugs again. "I don't know where Q'Tar is. I haven't seen him since before Cynderfall's evacuation and he's not made any contact with me. I can only speculate on his whereabouts."

Raphael chuckles at her response. "I spend enough time here. I have a shop here. I've also seen the battle. I've seen legions of Kriegan - how many have you seen?"
The horror in his eyes makes it clear that he does not jest.
"Q'tar's abrupt departure is rather disturbing. Especially in a time of war. His disappearance leaves me questioning his safety. Is it typical for S***hole's royalty to disappear for months at a time with no questions?"

Her gaze remains steady on Rafael, not voicing the initial responses that come to mind. "Was there anything else you wanted to share on this visit?"

Raphael, sensing the hostility, shares the details he knows about the troops and locations.
He turns and curtsey's, referring to Sharara as "Your majesty." and backs away to the door.
There was something in the way she avoided the topic of Q'tar that made him wonder...
He turns to leave.

She rubs the bridge of her nose a little as if to ward off a headache. "I would like to ask you a personal question, Rafael, if you don't mind."

Raphael pauses, and looks back at Sharara, questioningly.
"Sure, I love having answers."

There is a brief pause as she considers Rafael. "You take a lot of opportunity to mock Q'Tar and myself. I've seen you earn Q'Tar's ire on more than one occasion; maybe there is history there I don't know about. I would almost say that you have a dislike for both of us, something that's only been more prevalent since Sir Jacob's appointments. For my part, I don't know why this is. Yet, you come here today to tell me about the Kregen. You could potentially rid yourself of me by not sharing anything. Why do you do this, why do you have so much distaste for me?"

Raphael turns his head and looks at the floor. His face turns bright red like it was flowing with the blood of a fresh wound.
His eyes raise, looking directly into Sharara's questioning stare.
"I'd freely tell Q'tar what I think of him to his face." He gruffly and angrily mumbled.
He holds his breath and looks away again.
"Sharara...", he continues. "When I was a child, in my classes, the other children would pull the hair of those they had affection for."
"I think I have....", he looks back into her eyes. "Feelings for you."
He walks out the door, setting off the trip wire alarm and leaving a loud siren noise in his wake.

Sharara blinks once as Rafael rushes out, remaining motionless for several moments as she takes in the rather unexpected response from Rafael. Her brows furrow then as she seems to notice the ruckus outside for the first time. She moves to depart, then, to put an end to the noise.
