"Brutal," Sahar replied, "But it's home. Our tribes wander the desert to see new places, trade, and other things. Water is scarce in the desert, but it's always sacred when we see an oasis. Yria has blessed that ground with water for us to drink and cool down in, or as Khatir explains it."
The elf chuckles as she takes a bite of her soup.
"It's a benefit to visit at least once. Khatir and I are wandering on our own for an extended honeymoon."

Flare grinned ear to ear, making even her stripe bend to smile. "Wow. I was born in a hamlet in the forest. I could never imagine it. Are there many other wild elves in this part of the land?"

Sahar pensively puts her fingers to her chin for a moment.
"Not to my knowledge. Khatir and I met a wild elf in Cynderfall once, but never saw her again. Travels make it rare to meet friends consistently. I forgot her name too but she was an archer like you. She also didn't know Ulno's and Yria, but such is expected. We come from a far away land, so our religion is new to most."

"Why don't the wild elves leave the Shatterglass?" she asked curiously. "Well, why don't the others, anyway."
