The creature did not leave any tracks that we could see... I am covinced its not entirely corporeal. I think it attaches itself to a victim and stalks them from shadow... I could not see the creature well enough to tell what was dripping from its fingers... But i am certain it was the presence we removed from the boy.

"Hmmm..." Sharara is silent for a few seconds as she mulls over the information. "Shades... they are like shadows of a person's spirit. I'm not positive that what you describe is a shade. There are, however, creatures that can share some qualities with them, such as revenants."

Well i do know that this creature seems to attach itself to its victim and plagues them in their dreams... We should work from there.

"Did the boy mention anything about his dreams?"

The dreams are from the person who the creature has attached itself to most recently.

"Then that is where to begin, I think, if this thing is to be found. It'll either attempt to return to the boy or find a new victim. Speak with Zodian. There might be side effects to the influence of the creature; fatigue from unrestful sleep, paranoia from fear and other similar things that may be considered signs of illness. If we can establish a pattern of behavior and the motivation behind its choices in victims, we might be able to catch up to it before it finds its next victim."

I believe i already know who its next victim is... What i was hoping for was lore on how to draw it out... And how to kill it.

"Most undead are vulnerable to healing magic, they are hurt quite a bit about it. Magic and silver weapons are best for getting through their resistances. Drawing it out.... well how did you draw it out of the boy? Who is it you think it'll target next?"

Norton thinks for a moment. Ok... So silver weapons will have to be awuired...
He looks up. As far as drawing the creature away from the boy... We.. Inadvertently offered it a more desireable victim... I suppose.

"I see. The same target you expect the creature will pursue? Is it one of yourselves?"

"Mostly, the undead that I've seen out here are are the untintelligent zombies; some risen by necromancers and others feral. The rarest we dealt with was Xerxes, a lych. Lyches themselves are one thing, but Xerxes was not a typical lych. With his attempts to raise an army, we fought vampires, ghouls, wights and a revenant. We may have also had a brief encounter with a Death Knight, but that's as yet unconfirmed. In most cases, silver and magic weapons were effective as was healing magic. An anti-magic field also turned out to be useful." Sharara smirked a little at the last. "Is there something more specific you'd like to know?"

Is it possible to find out how to bait it? We know where it will show up... But we don't know the when. If we can draw it out on our terms we have a better chance of being prepared for it. If its a creature of shadow it may shadow hop... If that's a thing... So if we can pin or bind it that might keep it from getting away.

"If it's out hunting for a target, baiting it may be easier than expected. After nightfall is when it's most likely to appear. I'm not positive that shades are effected by daylight like vampires are, but the darkness does provide a better enfironment for them to remain unseen"

I agree... But i would like to try to narrow the window down from nighttime to something that we can plan around.
